Final Prize Giving Assembly
The final assembly for the year will be held in the hall on Tuesday 16 December from 11am to 12.30pm when we will farewell our Year 6 leavers.

There are some school families for whom the end of this school year will mark the end of their formal relationship with the Valley School. The school would like to thank these families for their input and support over the years.

BBQ Lunch
After the final assembly on Tuesday there will be a free barbecue lunch for the children provided by NZCU South. There will be vegetation sausages available for children who do not eat meat.

Classes for 2015

Children will be informed of their class and teacher for next year on Tuesday afternoon and will spend a short time in that room.

School Reports
Reports will be handed out after the final assembly. Those reports not collected by a parent or caregiver will be posted home. The reports will have a note about what class the children are in next year.

Talent Quest
Will be held on Wednesday 17th from 9.30-11.00am in the school hall. Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend. Children are allowed to go home from 12.30pm on the last day. Children who walk or ride home must have a note to leave early on Wednesday.

Office Hours
The school office will close Wednesday 17th at 1pm. The office will reopen on Monday 19 January 2015 at 9am and be open until 3pm each day. Messages can be left on the school answer phone.

Security Over The Holidays
Please contact First Security 0800 347 787 if there is a security issue at school over the holidays. I suggest parents save this phone number on their mobile phones. This number is also on the 2015 fridge magnet.

A fridge magnet with 2015 term dates has been included with your child’s report.

Contact Over the Holidays
If, over the holidays in the case of an emergency, you need to contact a school staff member, please email or leave a message on the school answer phone.

Rainbow Class
The final transition to school class for 2014 will be held this Thursday from 1.15-2.45pm in R11.

Assembly will be held in the school hall this Friday commencing at 2.20pm. Assembly will be led by R11 with items by R3. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.

Well done to the Qwakers Y6 team who won their section of the flippaball competition on Sunday. Thanks to Mrs Hesson who coaches and organises the teams.


School Fair 2015
Fair LogoThis week we are looking for people how can help with/have skills in:-

  • Ÿ Volunteers to help on the day of the fair.
  • Ÿ Setup and takedown helpers on the day, e.g. to help set up tents, games etc.
  • Ÿ Craft item contributors.
  • Ÿ Face painters.

Next meeting is tonight at 7pm in the staffroom.
